What is Hashimoto's Encephalopathy?Hashimoto's Encephalopathy is a very rare autoimmune disease where antibodies attack the thyroid gland, as in Hoshimoto's Thyroiditis, and also where antibodies attack neurons in the brain. With symptoms that can mimic many different neurological disorders, it is easily miss-diagnosed.

A Lifestyle Change is a Must:
- Begin by “cleaning” your Internal System.

- After the cleanse, follow a diet that consists of Whole and Raw foods.
- Donna Gates' book Body Ecology will have some very helpful information.
- Start building a healthy digestive tract. Eat homemade or organic, clean plain yogurt at least once a day. (with no artificial sweeteners or flavors.) Also, Raw fresh unsalted butter, homemade cottage cheese and soured milk and unfiltered honey are beneficial.
- Take a good quality Probiodic at least 2x daily, preferably 3x daily.
- Any whole, live, Raw Foods. This includes fruits, herbs, vegetables, whole grains, nuts, seeds, and a small amount of fresh fish or chemical free chicken.
- Avoid all refined flours, cereals, processed foods and meats, animal fats, and refined sugar.
- Increase Water intake- pure clean water. You should be consuming enough ounces of water that are the equivalent of your body weight divided by two. Add 1-2 drops of Peppermint or Lemon oil into it to make it more therapeutic.
- Reduce Stressors. Find a modality of stress relief that will work for you. Meditation CD's, EFT practices, yoga, daily walks, etc.
- As often as possible, To calm, heal, and stimulate the body and the immune system. Mix 2-3 drops Basil, Lavender, Peppermint, and Geranium in a Tablespoon of Carrier oil (Olive, Jojoba, etc.)
- Massage on lower back on both sides of the spine in a downward motion.
- Using the same combination of oils, lightly massage the abdomen, starting just below the navel and massaging in a clockwise spiral out to the edge of the rib cage and the pelvis.
- Massage the bottoms of the feet (arch area), palms of the hands and upper part of the ears with same combination of oils, but undiluted with the carrier oil.
- Frankincense oil has the ability to cross the blood-brain barrier and aids in the neurological function of the body. It can help with Dementia, Tremors, Seizers, etc. Apply 1-2 drops, under the tongue or in a capsule, 2x daily. It is also very useful if applied to the back of the neck at the hairline, and on the pulse points.
